Will this fit my car?
Yes - if you have a 5 Series from one of the generations below.
E60 / E61 (2003-2008) CCC system
E60 / E61 (2008-2010) CIC system
F10 / F11 (2010-2013) CIC system
F10 / F11 (2012-2016) NBT system
Note that years can overlap, or later years can have the old system - for that we mostly recommend checking which system you have in the checker above. Both screens fit the original opening and keep the factory look. Select your generation above before adding to cart.
What size is the screen?
The E60 / E61 screen is 8.8 inch and the F10 / F11 screen is 10.25 inch, both built to the exact dimensions of the factory opening for that generation. Nothing is cut, trimmed or packed out - it drops into the same space and sits flush with the dash.
My original screen is smaller - will this still fit?
Yes. The same screen fits both the smaller and the wider original openings, so the size your car came with doesn't change which one you order. Your factory iDrive menu still appears and works exactly as before.
On cars that came with the smaller screen, the BMW menu was drawn for that size, so you can choose how it displays: keep it at its original proportions, or stretch it to fill the full width of the new screen. CarPlay and Android Auto use the full screen either way.
Should I get this or the wireless CarPlay module?
Both the module and the screen share the same features - the difference is that with the screen you also gain touch control. It comes down to two things: if you prefer the original look of your BMW, go with the module. If you want touch control, or you have a smaller display and want a larger one, go with the screen.

Do I lose my factory iDrive menu?
No - everything you have now stays exactly where it is. Hold the menu button, or tap "Original menu" on the screen, and you're back in standard iDrive: your oil level, service history, vehicle settings, radio, every tab you use today. Nothing is removed or replaced. The screen simply adds CarPlay and Android Auto on top of what's already there.
Do my reverse camera and parking sensors still work?
Yes - both keep working exactly as they do now. When you select reverse, the camera view appears automatically and your parking sensors display and sound as normal. Nothing is disconnected or rerouted.
What features does it have?
The screen supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and screen mirroring, with lag-free, stable performance. It connects automatically to the last paired device within 5-10 seconds of starting the car. It runs on a dedicated Linux system built only for CarPlay and Android Auto, so nothing else competes for the processor - it starts fast and stays smooth. The display is bright with high contrast, so maps and icons stay sharp even in direct sunlight.
Everything you use today keeps working - steering wheel buttons, the iDrive controller, cameras and more. In CarPlay and Android Auto you can also control everything by touch: tap, swipe and pinch. Switch back to the original BMW system at any time by holding the "MENU" button near the iDrive knob.
Can I install this by myself?
Yes. Installation is fully plug & play - no coding, no cutting, and no permanent modifications required. All necessary wiring harnesses and an installation guide are included with your screen.

Does it change my sound quality?
Sound quality stays exactly the same, and can be improved thanks to the built-in DSP audio processing. The screen uses your BMW's original Bluetooth system for audio output. If your car doesn't have Bluetooth, audio is transmitted via AUX with stable, clear sound.
Calls run through your car's existing microphone with no change in quality. If your car doesn't have a built-in microphone, the screen has its own built-in mic so hands-free calling works either way.
